No words. Just hugs.

These fires are so hard to fathom with all of the destruction they leave in their wake. The weather spares none of us. While not fire, my family was affected by Katrina in New Orleans. After that storm, my mother left New Orleans, something she said she would never do. Shortly after that she passed. These events are so disastrous for so many.

I am so sorry. It's so hard to watch your hometown being destroyed, especially when you're too far away to do anything about it. I remember that feeling when watching Hurricane Andrew in Miami. The world is a scary place.

Oh, my birthday sister... I'm so sorry! No words for what that community (and so many others) are going through. :-(

Oh Crystal, I'm so sorry. I have a friend who lives nearby in Cheney and was so worried about her but so far she's safe. The guy who started it... why the f**k was he out of jail???? And I can only think of one appropriate punishment which I will not put into writing but....

Seriously WTF. He's been very lucky that there haven't been any deaths from these fires so far. Because then he'd have a lot more death on his hands. Just so sick.

I'm so glad your friend in Cheney is safe, although I'm guessing she is really going through a lot right now, as everybody there is.

I hope your friend is OK and that they get the fire under control soon. Those images, along with several others I’ve seen lately from various parts of the world, are terrifying. I have friends in Bordeaux, France, that have been dealing with the same 🥺

I saw that there was a village in France where some undiscovered bombs, like 400 of them, from World War II exploded as part of the fire. So awful. https://www.cnn.com/2026/08/04/europe/france-wildfires-wwii-shells-intl
